FRAGRANCE FAQ

FINDING YOUR FRAGRANCE

How should I choose a fragrance?

Start with how you want to feel, rather than simply looking for familiar notes. Consider the mood, setting and occasion you’re drawn to. Fragrance is deeply personal, so give yourself time to experience how a scent develops on your skin.

Why does fragrance smell different on different people?

Fragrance interacts with your skin, body temperature and natural oils, which can subtly change how individual notes develop and how the scent wears over time.

What are top, heart and base notes?

Top notes create the first impression of a fragrance. Heart notes emerge as the scent develops, while base notes unfold more slowly and tend to linger longest on the skin. Together, they create the fragrance’s full evolution.

Should I test fragrance on skin or on a blotter?

Both are useful, but skin gives you the truest experience. A blotter can introduce you to a fragrance, while wearing it on your skin allows you to experience how it develops and evolves with your individual skin chemistry.

WEARING YOUR FRAGRANCE

Where should I apply fragrance?

Apply fragrance to pulse points such as the wrists, neck and décolletage, where warmth helps it diffuse naturally. For a softer trail, try the backs of the knees or ankles. And for more intimate moments, the small of the back creates a subtle, close-to-the-skin effect.

Should I rub my wrists together after applying fragrance?

It’s best to let fragrance dry naturally on the skin. Rubbing your wrists together creates friction and can affect how the fragrance develops.

How can I make my fragrance last longer?

Fragrance tends to last longer on clean, well-moisturized skin. Try layering with a body lotion or oil in a complementary scent profile to help build depth and longevity, then apply your fragrance to pulse points. If you like to refresh throughout the day, keep a travel size on hand and top up sparingly as needed.

Can I layer different fragrances?

Absolutely. Layering allows you to create a combination that feels uniquely yours. Start with the richer fragrance, then introduce the lighter one gradually until you find a balance you love.

CARING FOR YOUR FRAGRANCE

How should I store my fragrance?

Keep your fragrance somewhere cool, dry and away from direct sunlight or significant temperature changes. A bedroom, closet or dressing area is generally preferable to a bathroom, where heat and humidity can fluctuate.

Does fragrance expire?

Fragrance can evolve over time, but when stored properly it can remain beautiful for years. Heat, direct sunlight and frequent temperature changes can accelerate deterioration.

Why has the color of my fragrance changed over time?

Fragrance continues to evolve over time, a process often referred to as maceration. As the ingredients settle and blend together, the fragrance may deepen in character and its color can gradually change. This is a natural part of its evolution and does not necessarily mean it has spoiled.

Can I travel with my fragrance?

Absolutely. For an overnight stay or weekend away, a single 10ml Travel Size lets you take your favorite fragrance without carrying a full bottle. For longer trips, the Travel Edit includes all three RAM & ROSE fragrances in 10ml sizes, giving you different moods to match changing plans, settings and energy throughout your trip.
